Dear Taxpayers,
The Town of Marblehead would like to share several important updates regarding the FY2027 Preliminary Tax Bills.
The Town has begun transitioning its tax collection operations from Patriot Software’s CollectPro system to the Tyler Munis collection system. This upgrade will integrate the tax collection process with the Town’s financial management system, resulting in improved efficiency and enhanced service for taxpayers.
As part of this transition, the Town has also changed its lockbox processing service. Please note that the remittance address has changed and is reflected on your FY2027 Preliminary Tax Bills.
Payments by mail should be sent to:
Town of Marblehead
PO Box 848250
Boston, MA 02284-8250
Payments may also be delivered in person to:
7 Widger Road
Marblehead, MA 01945
Tax payments may also be made online by selecting “Pay Bills” from the menu.
If you have questions regarding your tax bill or payment, please contact the Tax Collector’s Office at revenue2@marbleheadma.gov.
It has come to our attention that the land area displayed on FY2027 Preliminary Tax Bills is incorrect. As this is the Town’s first billing cycle using the new collection system, we are working closely with our implementation team to resolve the issue.
The discrepancy is the result of the billing software displaying acreage information from the assessing system as square footage. This is a display issue only and did not affect the assessed valuation of your property or the amount of your tax bill.
If you have questions regarding the land area shown on your bill, please contact the Assessor’s Office at assessors@marbleheadma.gov.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this important system transition and continue to improve the services provided to the residents of Marblehead.
Sincerely,
Cami S. Iannarelli
Treasurer/Collector
