The Town of Marblehead has adopted a new Means-Tested Senior Citizen Property Tax Exemption to help eligible seniors remain in their homes by providing property tax relief.

Who May Qualify?
Eligibility is based on qualifications for the Massachusetts Senior Circuit Breaker Tax Credit and other requirements established by the Town and state law
Applicants will generally be required to provide:
- Proof of age
- Federal and state income tax returns
- Documentation of Senior Circuit Breaker Tax Credit eligibility
- Additional supporting documentation, as required

The Assessors’ Office is currently developing application materials and administrative procedures for the program. Complete instructions, required forms, and application deadlines will be posted as soon as they become available
