New trash bins should not be returned to the Assessor’s Office. No abatements, credits, or refunds will be issued for returned bins. Questions about trash bins or collection services should be directed to the Board of Health at Health2@MarbleheadMA.Gov or 781‑631‑0212.
Effective July 1, 2026, all Eligible properties shall become part of the Marblehead Curbside Collection program unless the Owner(s) opt out of participating in writing. All owners who opt out of the Curbside Collection Program shall remain subject to all applicable federal, state, and local bylaws and regulations governing the storage, handling, recycling, and disposal of solid waste, including requirements for the use of properly permitted waste haulers where applicable. The Town is also preparing to launch a new Senior Means Exemption program. Once finalized, eligibility criteria, application procedures, and program details will be posted on the Town website under the Assessor’s Office. Please note: Applicants for the Senior Means Exemption will be required to first apply for the Massachusetts Senior Circuit Breaker Tax Credit.
