Town of Marblehead Issues Snow Emergency Three-Day Parking Ban Starting Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 11 p.m.

With the increase in winter weather, including snow and ice, the Town of Marblehead is issuing a parking ban this week to account for additional snow cleanup.

Three-Day Snow Emergency Parking Ban:

  • Wednesday, Feb 11, starting at 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning.
  • Thursday, Feb 12, starting at 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning.
  • Friday, Feb 13, starting at 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning.

The parking ban is expected to be lifted by 7 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14. Please visit the Town of Marblehead website and Police/Fire social media pages for updates on parking restrictions.

When a snow emergency parking ban is declared, parking will be restricted on public roadways during the designated hours of the parking ban (for this ban, 11 p.m. – 7 a.m.). Vehicles found in violation of the parking ban may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense to ensure that roads remain clear for emergency vehicles and snow removal operations.

Residents and visitors are urged to plan and park responsibly to help keep roadways clear and safe. It’s important for drivers to watch out for pedestrians who may be in the roadway and yield cautiously when approaching or passing them.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed, limit travel when possible, and take the following necessary precautions to remain safe during the storm.
